State Council on Developmental Disabilities (DD Council)

A body of 28 Governor appointed self-advocates, parents, family members, consumers, and public and private agency representatives that plans, coordinates, evaluates, monitors and advocates on behalf of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.  Activities include developing and implementing a 5-year State Plan, educating and informing policy makers and the public about developmental disabilities, fostering inter-agency collaboration and coordination, and training in leadership development and legislative technology.
