Stakeholder Input Meeting for Alternative Assessments

FreeThe Assessment Section would like to extend their invitation to the forthcoming Hawaii State Alternate Assessment (HSA-Alt) Stakeholder Committee meeting where the accessibility experts at the state and complex area level, teachers for the HSA-Alt eligible students, special education advocates, parents of children with significant cognitive disabilities, and community members review and provide feedback on the ongoing HSA-Alt program and future development. Your input and expertise are greatly appreciated and we believe your participation will contribute significantly to the success of the meeting.
In-person meeting Friday, October 18.2024 from 8:30 am to 4 pm at the Alamoana Hotel.
The committee will review and provide feedback on the development of the HSA-Alt program which includes:
- New HSA-Alt Decision-Making Tool,
- HSA-Alt 1 % Participation Action Plan,
- HSA-Alt Shortened Test Proposal, and
- Pilot HSA-Alt Classroom Embedded Assessment.

All non-Department employees will receive a stipend of $194.01 per day. All participants will need to bring a computer or mobile device that can connect to the internet wirelessly for the meeting.
