SEAC is a State Advisory Panel mandated by IDEA. They meet once a month during the school year to discuss the unmet needs of students with disabilities.

Family Support Groups

Family to Family support is one of the most important links in creating community relationships, advocacy and information sharing.

Agencies, both private and government, provide services and information to families in need.

Health services can range from birth to adult, direct services to case management.

Most special education services in Hawaii are delivered within the Department of Education, but there are some exceptional programs in the private sector as well.

When you have a disagreement about your child's special education services or you need a someone to speak on you or your child's behalf, its nice to know there are agencies working for families and kids.

There are so many wonderful agencies and groups in Hawaii to serve families and their special children. We are proud to showcase a few here.
